Here is an input value to musical note table I created using a 16F876A Microchip PIC with a 4 Mhz. resonator.

First I tuned my guitar with a electronic tuner. Then used the guitar to create the data base by ear. I later modified my audio signal generator to use the internal frequency counter to measure the frequency output of the PIC and tweak the input values.

An input value of 1 gives the minimum PIC output frequency of 79Hz.
The input value of 127 gives the maximum PIC output of 10,000Hz.
